Personal Injuries – Total number of rewards & their categories

The below graph was assembled from figures taken off the PIAB website and can be accessed via the following link; https://www.piab.ie/eng/about-piab/statistics/statistics.html and represents a breakdown of the total number of awards along with their categories from 2010 until 2018.

It is evident that Motor, Employers Liability and Public Liability have all increased from what they ended in 2010 and what they ended in 2018.

Motor is the category where the PIAB pays out the most for at 8,529 in 2018. This is then followed by Public Liability where there were 2,188 awards. The least awarded relates to Employers Liability as there were only 1,395 awards in 2018.
